Technical Sales Engineer

The Opportunity

Our client, a premier manufacturer of custom-engineered packaging solutions for the global power generation industry, is seeking a motivated Sales Engineer. This role serves as the essential bridge between complex engineering and customer-centric sales.

Core Responsibilities

Technical Strategy & Proposal Development:

Prepare and deliver comprehensive technical quotations, proposals, and product configurations.

Develop and provide detailed submittals, including technical drawings, cut sheets, and essential supporting materials.

Stakeholder & Relationship Management:

Act as a proactive, executive-level point of contact for clients, distributors, and internal stakeholders.

Provide "white-glove" support to ensure client needs are anticipated and exceeded throughout the sales lifecycle.

Project Oversight & Operational Alignment:

Partner closely with Project Managers to monitor the manufacturing process and guarantee on-time delivery in accordance with Statement of Work (SOW) expectations.

Maintain strict confidentiality regarding proprietary product designs and sensitive company data.

Continuous Professional Development:

Participate in advanced product training focused on power systems, controls, and evolving industry standards.

Maintain mastery of current codes, standards, and regulatory requirements within the power generation sector.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical/scientific field.

Experience: 1–2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or construction environment.

Technical Proficiency: Basic understanding of electrical systems, generators, or mechanical power systems.

Software Skills: Familiarity with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Microsoft Excel.

Our client, a global leader in data acquisition and structural testing technology, is seeking a Field Sales Engineer to join their team. In this role, you will bridge the gap between complex engineering and customer-focused sales by translating project specifications into high-performance technical proposals. This is a home-based opportunity requiring up to 40% travel.

Core Responsibilities

Consultative Solution Design: Serve as the primary technical advisor for a comprehensive portfolio.

Vertical Market Expertise: Leverage technical knowledge to deliver mission-critical solutions across diverse industries, including industrial automation, power measurement, and defense.

Sales Lifecycle Management: Manage the complete sales process from initial discovery and technical demonstration to final implementation and follow-up.

Strategic Collaboration: Partner with teams to align product capabilities with client workforce strategies and operational needs.

Qualifications

Academic Background: The ideal candidate will have specialized experience or education in Mechanical, Electrical, Acoustics, or Test Measurement fields.

Operational Discipline: Must be self-motivated, highly organized, and capable of managing numerous parallel projects.

Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a high technical aptitude to master and present a diverse, evolving product line.

Compensation & Benefits

Our client offers an attractive and competitive "white-glove" pay package designed to reward high-performing technical talent:

Base Salary: $90,000 – $110,000 annually.
